Fever Raises $250M in Largest-Ever Live-Entertainment Tech Round
Fever, the events discovery and ticketing platform behind DICE, has closed a $250 million equity round led by the investment firm EQT, valuing the company at $5.2 billion. Fever is describing it as the largest single funding round ever raised by a live-entertainment technology firm, a notable claim in a sector that has seen plenty of capital move through ticketing and discovery in recent years, from Ticketmaster’s ongoing dominance of primary ticketing to a wave of smaller platforms chasing niche audiences.
The raise lands at a moment when discovery -- how audiences actually find out what's happening and where -- is becoming as contested a layer of the live-entertainment stack as the venues and promoters themselves. Fever's pitch has long been that recommendation and curation, done well, can turn casual browsing into ticket sales; DICE, which it acquired, has built a reputation among independent venues and artists for consumer-friendly pricing. Combining the two under one balance sheet gives Fever both consumer reach and credibility with the venue side of the market.
Fever says the new capital will go toward international expansion and further investment in its technology stack, and frames live experience broadly as a category it believes is resistant to AI disruption -- the argument being that no algorithm replaces being in a room with other people.
Fever is now well capitalised to be a serious partner conversation for venues and promoters weighing who to work with on discovery and ticketing.
